Gents,
I have an E46 M3, BMW have advised that it would be a good idea to upgrade the oil in the rear diff due to a "graunching" (their words, not mine) sound when turning tight corners (in carparks for instance)
Predictably, BMW have also advised that I need to part with at least a Kidney in order to pay for said diff oil change.
If, hypothetically, I was a tight b
d with a lot of free time, what would be the best oil to put in my Diff?
Please note, I have no idea what oil is in there at present, I assume it's the original stuff, I can't find any paperwork stating that the previous owner (I know, I'm a peasant) had changed it at all.
