Which would you have, practicalities aside?

My head says m6 should be better as its a coupe and coupes are always better than saloons, no?

But, my heart says e60 m5 as more cohesive design.

Neither save up for the F10/12 models.
Don't want one of those, they're too new! Plus I like the old v10.

Never knew the m6 was so rare. I just prefer the looks of the m5.

Still undecided.

Thanks all. Due to the cheap purchase cost im not bothered about a £3k bill here and there as there's no depreciation.

Can't explain it but I much prefer the e60 m5 to the new one.perhaps it's worse in every way but the design looks so right. Future classic.

Think I've decided on an e60 m5, the m6 looks just don't sit well with me

Test drive time!

Don't forget that these cars learn the driver habits so all cars will feel different during a test drive unless it's been reset. If you can get an extended test over a weekend then that will allow the car to adjust to your style (do a TCU / SMG reset too so the box feels fresh and not lazy). You won't be able to feel for a worn clutch as they are self adjusting right up to the point where they fail. The only giveaway comes when the clutch gets hot and it may judder, but you have to look for it and know what you are looking for. Most importantly, drive it in paddle mode, S5. That's what it was designed for!
V useful thank you
