Any E36 M3 Convertibles for sale ?
Discussion
Anybody know of any for sale/coming up for sale in the near future ? I've looked on the usual car sites, eBay/autotrader/gumtree/here & only a few around, nothing so far has taken her fancy (it's for the Mrs.)
Not looking for a garage queen, even a car needing a bit of work could be considered, just has to be, you know, 'the right car'

There's an Estoril Blue on M3 Cutters forum for £5k with under 90k miles. Shame I'm after a Coupè.
Thanks, seen that,I know he will take £4k,would need a nice Individual interior to go with it for her to like it, I also put a wanted ad on cutters over a week ago with no response.Edited by Total loss on Saturday 21st February 18:48

Couple of nice looking coupes too if you're prepared to spend top dollar
That one does look nice & at a very good price from a dealer, including the hardtop which are normally £400-500 separately.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C586471

One we would consider if it was an Evo 3.2.
Had a wider search, not seen a white one before, overall looks very nice, would be a nice drive back

Been offered a few Estoril blue and a couple of black cars through my wanted ads in various places, but nothing else colour wise, what do you guys think, more cars coming up for sale in the next few weeks leading up to Easter & beyond ?
Several sub £4k cars & most mid 4 & a couple 5.5-6

sad to see, looks almost a carbon copy of mine! Don't be too down. Values these days may mean that it may get repaired!
Probably unfortunately not, having been watching the market for 3+ months now, I have seen 2 MOT'd fully working Evo convertibles for sale, sold, & within a week being broken for spares. With Evo engines fetching £3/3.5k you can see why £4/4.5k cars are worth more in partscarreauchompeur said:

Have fired you a PM dude. Just wondering, what makes your car an Evolution II? over a straight evo?
Haven't got a clue to be honest! I'm sure it is on a document somewhere. Might just be a slight revision, it's a Sept 99 car which is one of the last ones. "What distinguishes the UK-market E36 M3 Special Edition convertibles?
A limited run of 25 E36 M3 convertibles in Carbon Black metallic with a Modena Natur Nappa leather interior were produced for the UK market in July of 1999. In addition to this special paint color, all 25 examples were identically equipped with a large selection of features such as power and heated front seats, Park Distance Control, Harman/Kardon audio system and extended Burl Walnut wood interior trim."
SMG, good/ bad in an E36 ? with the E46 it is said to be the preferred option over manual, is it very different/improved over the E36 ?
A cars come up at the other end of the country, but its SMG, I've not even been in one with it let alone driven one so after peoples opinions/experience of it.

Have you bought one yet? I see you recently commented on a post saying you are in the market?
No not yet, (I started the thread looking for one), plenty of nice Estoril blue cars around (they seem to be the vast majority), but the Mrs who the car is essentially for thinks its too common and would prefer a different colour which seem to be not coming up for sale at the moment. Hopefully Ester will see a few more come on the market.Vixpy1 said:

What is your budget? You say the ones in the 4 to 5k area are selling but the 7k plus cars are not, how come you have not bought one of the 4/5k cars?
As has been said, Estoril blue is a common colour for an E36 M3 Convertible but not for other cars. There are also next to none on the road these days. I could understand if you/she did not like the colour but to turn it down because it is "common" seems a little hasty to me.
I suggest buying sooner rather than later as the Wendy houses start getting expensive this time of year
I haven't got a car yet because the 'right' car hasn't come along, simple as that. The right Estoril car we would not turn down,interior/condition/price being the deciding factor & I have been offered 2 very nice ones, but in both cases the prices were too high for me (£7,900).
