I had an M4 for the day on Monday, courtesy of Sytner Solihull. I thought it was superb in spite of a bit of turbo lag. Having said that I didn't play with the settings too much.
I was given the impression that deals are available on the cars if you look around and try hard enough.
Interested in your comment regarding turbo lag. Having run a M4 over the last six months turbo lag really has not been an issue. However the throttle set up left in efficient mode can give that impression as the pick up is a bit soft. provides better mapping characteristics for spirited road work.

This so called "Lag" is in the M5 and M6 GC CP in efficient mode, but as you say in Sport+ (engine) it is not there.provides better mapping characteristics for spirited road work.
It's part of the Efficient fuel saving program when in "efficient Mode", just a slower throttle response.

Agreed - I tend to use 'Efficient' for sedate driving really e.g. city driving and wet conditions. Select 'sport' mode and put the gear shift in position 2 or 3 - that should liven things up. Or for a bit more fun go for 'sport plus' and gear shift position 3....provides better mapping characteristics for spirited road work.
