I need to buy an OEM driveshaft for a Z3M and the BMW dealers say that I can add my name to a list but that they aren't making any at the moment!

I have had driveshafts custom made before but they tend to be variable quality and expensive, so would prefer OEM if I can get one. Any ideas?

Thanks guys. I don't want to buy a second hand one - you never know how long they'll last and have had some bad experiences. I want to buy one as a spare for my rally car which has a Z3M back end, so don't need to get an existing one remanufactured - and equally don't have one I can trade in. One of the shafts on the car at the moment is new, the other second hand and hence keen to buy another new one and keep the secondhand one as a spare...

not sure what the Z3m is like compared to the standard car but isnt standard Z3 very similar to an E30? Worth trying something along those lines?
Yes, thanks, as standard my car (an E36 Compact fitted with an M3 race engine) uses an E30 back end, but this isn't strong enough to take the upgraded power so I swapped to an entire Z3M back end. The standard E30 shafts aren't up to the job and won't fit now either... hence keen to find a new OEM Z3M shaft somewhere.
