Guys, need some advice please.

I'm aware back in late 2013 BMW were giving these babies away (!), so keen to establish how good the current offers are relative to that.

Peter Vardy are offering 0%, 8k miles, £598 over 48 months with £7k deposit on a standard car. How does this sound? Those of you who bought back in 2013, how much deposit were you putting down?

And what are the consequences of 48 month contracts? I guess the old deals were on 36 months? Any implications of this?

Any input gratefully received, thanks in advance.

Including VAT? Wow!

I guess the 48 month term has a bearing on this too?

Sorry for the daft questions, am a newbie to financing cars.

Looking at old threads I think most were offered around £600 a month, but I guess with a smaller deposit than £7k, and I guess a shorter term (24/36 months) rather than 48 months?

Most dealers I've spoken to aren't getting close to the Peter Vardy deal!

£499 inc, with £7k over 24 months sounds exceptional!! Was this the norm back in 2013? If so no wonder it was jumped on!

Thanks for the advice everyone, very much appreciated. After much deliberation I've bottled it...
As tempting as it is to run a brand new M5, I just can't justify £21k over 2 years to run 16k miles, even in an M5.

Going to consider an older alternative car and buy when the lion share of the depreciation has taken place.
