Evening M-Power!
I've been thinking about my next move after the F10 and, to get to the point, I'm really struggling.
The new M5 is due, I'm told, towards the tail end of 2017, so sticking with my car till then would be smart.
Another M5 would be daft, offering nothing over what I have.
However, my petrolhead has had me wondering about the anniversary edition, which looks stunning in the flesh.
But £110K for a two-owner car.. who in their right mind, outwith truly wealthy types, would go for that?
I asked for a couple of quotes for one on sale or return (has been for some time).....frankly laughable.
Does anyone on here have one?
I'd happily lose up to £13K a year on one if I could get in and out safely.... am I nuts?

That's been sat in their showroom for months now, lovely looking car but I don't see any reason why it won't follow a similar pricing trend in the long term to the 25 year edition. Is the M6GC +CP not a decent compromise between the two?http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...
Is the next M5 really due that soon? The new five isn't due till 2017 and the M version usually follows about 20-24 months later.

ELMS Cambridge are a real joke when it comes to prices, I saw that car ages ago in there, when ELMS was giving me an estimate for a new M6 GC CP ( which frankly was laughable), they will not sell that at that price.I've been thinking about my next move after the F10 and, to get to the point, I'm really struggling.

I will not be dealing with them any time soon.
Similar situation for me and I too was gobsmacked by the asking price of the Jahre.
My shortlist for the moment for November change is:
997 gen 2 Turbo S - not sure as really want the 991. 997 is looking a bit dated. Amazing power though.
Maserati Granturismo - gorgeous sound, heritage, good rear seats, stunning looks, average performance
M6 GC - has everything but it will be my fourth BMW on the trot (noticed they are selling new ones at £71K in classifieds .. more than the usual 20% off list).
Need at least small seats in the back.

I'm not remotely suggesting buying one outright, that would be plain ridiculous.
I was seeing if there might be some kind of PCP deal to be done, where you know upfront the degree of shafting, with a guaranteed exit at the end.
The premium for one of these is ridiculous.
Elms are clearly not competitive price-wise and I don't just mean this car (which I believe they're selling for a customer).
They told me, for instance, I had no equity in my car, while others quoted anything from £3K to £6K.....so quite a difference.
The car in question will of course not sell any time soon and it may do the rounds in an effort to punt it somewhere else.
I'll probably get another F10 to tide me over till the new M5.

If you were to PCP you'd probably be getting stuffed for interest versus the available 0% deals on a new order of the regular car, only serving to widen the price difference.
I don't know how you lease guys can bear to part with them after 2 years - I'm getting attached to mine!

The way I see it....better to get say a grand a month now for say two or three years, than sit on a car that will not sell......looks bad/slightly embarrassing for dealers....hence the reason such cars are often hidden away.
These cars haemorrhage money, so minimising the depreciation is all that any owner (private or individual) can attempt to do.

Surely this. I wouldn't pay to change to another f10 - the enhancements offered by the other 'editions' are too marginal. I can't see any of these cars holding any value; it's just not what m5s do!
