I've been watching the values going up recently - sold mine last year and can't find a similar car for the same price. A year ago, coupes were selling for the price that good convertibles are now going at?!
What intrigues me is the lack of Saloons about - I have only seen one on the road in the past few months and very few on sale. Does anyone know how many they made?

I think these cars will keep climbing steadily. They most probably will not see the crazy appreciation that e30 m3s have - BUT I don't think anybody 10 years ago thought immaculate evo2s would be going for 60-80k today! I remember 3 years back you could buy an e30 m3 needing work for 15-16k and very good ones for 22/23!

To those who thought the e36 is going to double this year - you need a reality check! If you have a good one with service history, hold it for a while!
In 3-4 years your £8k car will be worth closer to 15! Just remember that 2 years ago you could get a decent one for £4k while nobody really wanted them and most people were tracking them. Now £4k will buy you a dog- I know because I have been to view a number of cars around the 5k mark- they all needed atleast £2k+all your time to make them very good again! I think a coupe in very good condition reading around the 100k miles is around the 8k mark, verts £2-3k cheaper. Saloons - the last one I went to see was a dog - 120k miles, needed considerable bodywork, vanos rebuild and interior was poor and the seller took £4500 after I turned it down!

So does anybody have pics of their cars? I really think that Dakar Yellow is one of the hottest colours!!

This was on sale earlier in the year. Didn't realize you had restored it from a bare shell though.
Looks lovely.

The m4 is stunning- imo.
I prefer saloon/coupe/vert - in that order as far as the e36 goes.
When slightly lowered, the saloons look so sleek.
I've never seen a yellow saloon though- that would be quite rare.
Black/purple are probably my favourite colours from the ones I've set my eyes on.
