M5 DMS driven (evo)

A nice little read on the DMS stage 2 m5.

Am sure most owners now know of the tuning capabilities of the m5. 90% of you will probably think it has enough power!
Nice to see the BMW platform now just as tuneable as the Audi equivalents maybe opening the door to more tuners and developers.
The one tested is at 730bhp and torque capped at 664lbs/f to protect transmission which explains how furiously rapid it is and understandabley you have to adjust your driving style further to cope with the traction issues.
It's not cheap at £3000 but it's a lot of extra power and believe a few including the owners car have done 1000's of tested miles without any issue.

Top speed of 203 I think but there just figures quoted by DMS I'd imagine. Sadly evo didn't fit there timing gear to it.

If you can get a genuine 60-100 in 3seconds that would be mighty impressive.
Strange thing is all these tuned cars I've only seen Paul come up with actual data and everyone just calls it BS...

Am also eager to get mine done may as well go stage 2.
But still debating weather DMS are worth the extra money over evolve... They charge 1995 that's without any haggling.

I'd be happy with DMS coming to my house to do it but as Paul says I thought a stage 2 would be a bit of fine fettling...?

Also don't DMS offer a warranty which explains the price hike..?

Surely if we can get 3 people the cost would come down further?

I'm only on 2500 miles so not sure it would be advised yet?

It would be a 700+ mile round trip for me so I would prefer the car to be done here...

I'd be fairly confident Rob/Tony would accommodate a group buy. Drop me a line if this is likely & i'll see what i can do. I organised a group buy with DMS for B7 RS4's a few years ago.

Both will perform near identically TBH but DMS have offered a very competitive package and I know W8 has had his fettled by them for many 1000's of miles as well as the promising evo review kind of sealed the deal for me.
