BMW M135i - End of Production (July 2016)

I was visiting my local dealer with a view to changing my car yesterday, and I was looking at a couple of different options. One was replacing my current M135i.
I'd heard a couple of rumours that the M135i would be replaced by a new M140i at some point, with a B58 engine replacing the N55, however there wasn't any official confirmation of that, just rumours.
I asked salesman about this and he confirmed that it only allowed him to schedule an M135i build up until July this year, but any M135i's in the system currently had been marked as a "non-fulfilment" so they wouldn't be put forward to build stage. He surmised that this was because they would be discontinued prior to introduction of the M140i.
I'll be interested to see what this brings come Autumn time. Whether the badge and the B58 is the only thing that changes, or if there is anything else. It will also be interesting to see if BMW continue to offer the same UK support on it, or if they treat it as a new model with limited support.

Interesting! I wish BMW would announce the M140i at least, even if they don't put it on their configurator yet, especially if they've quietly discontinued the previous model.
I need to order something by the beginning of February to ensure I get delivery in the middle of May... so I want to be completely decided by the end of the year so that all I need to do is look for the right price.
Now comes the tricky bit of deciding what I want... at the moment it seems to be between a Golf R, M140i, or M3 Comp Pack. I'd take any of them but will probably just see what I can get the best deal on.
