I'm seriously considering an M4 convertible, either a new factory order or a delivery miles MY16 car in dealer stock - there seem to be quite a few around with decent discounts.

Originally I was set on a competition pack, but after reading some reviews of the MY16 cars am no longer so sure whether it's worth the premium on the convertible. I prefer the look of the standard wheels, and the convertible probably doesn't need stiffer suspension. Has anyone driven an M4 convertible with CP who can pass comment on the value of the differences from the standard car?

There are a few manual cars around in the dealer network with deep discounts. I'd originally discounted a manual, and loved the DCT in the one I test drove. Am I right to discount the manual? A delivery miles car for £50k is quite appealing...

Any other must have options?

Thanks for the replies - that's a gorgeous looking M3 Nick!

I tend to agree that a manual will suffer more depreciation, at least short term. On CP vs non-CP I think a lot of the comparisons are MY15 vs MY16 CP and that MY16 has seemingly moved the game on and the difference is quite small.

Currently erring towards a factory order. It seems impossible to get a stock car in the colour I want (austin yellow or maybe orange or yas marina blue) with anything close to the options I want (Comp Pack, DCT, HK audio, Carbon trim, Full leather - ideally with contrast stitching, HUD, Adaptive lights, Comfort pack).
