Seriously considering a 2012 m5, silverstone with upgraded leather and generally well specced. 5 year/60k service plan. Brakes done.

It's an auc car, I asked the sales chap to check the warranty history, it had a new engine early '15 with 16k due to 'excessive oil consumption' claim cost £18k. Now done 26k and no issues since. Standard year auc warranty included.

Would this put you off? Seems fine in my head but the day you buy is the day you sell etc etc and realisitcally I'll not keep it more than 2 years....

Yes new engine had the running in service. The engine was replaced due to excessive oil consumption. It's still in prep at the minute so I haven't had a drive but from what I've read they're rather good.

It could have been a press car / or used on the track every day of its life who knows.

Surely you'd want to know why it failed what was the cause and if it's physically a new block or not. Then again £35k+ is small beer to some buyers
Not a press car. He gave me the history, date first owner took delivery, date of his pdi service. Etc etc. Seems genuine enough I think.
