Where's everyone buying their M4 from?
Discussion
Evening chums
I'm trying to get a sensible deal on an M4 Competition with some spec' and to be honest it's proving to be a fruitless task!
Have so far checked car wow, coast to coast and 3 different dealers directly.
So far no-one seems to have half a clue about what they're selling. I know exactly what we want and can place the order immediately if the deal is right.
I'm e-mailing them the exact spec' with the order numbers as per the new LCi 2018 brochure, production of which starts next month and they still can't get it right!
Offers seem to be ranging between 3-7% discount. None of this 15-17% that seemed so prevalent a couple of months ago.
What's changed? Why does no-one know what they're selling?
Any recommendations?
Cheers
Dave

I was on the verge of signing on the dotted line for an M4 CP in September but the dealer insisted I had to take delivery by the end of Feb' and with the lead time quoted it meant I would probably receive the car a week before 17 plate which would have added to the depreciation suicide.
I was told that if I waited a week or so to order, it would go into Q4 and then I could have delivery in a March. What they didn't know was that BMW's contribution would drop by 4-5k on 1st October.
Anyway, gist of it is that around 8% of the available discount disappeared, hence no deals near what you saw previously.
Picking up my 9 month old M3 this afternoon. Tried new and the best I could get was a pre reg December standard car (not CP) for 54k. The partex price added a further 3k kick and it didnt have CP or LEDs which was a must have for me.
Carwow discount ranged form 0.0 through 0.4 up to 8.3% at Plymouth.

I'm also interested in a new LCI M4 CP to be delivered second half of this year.
The lack of discounts is pretty evident and pushing me towards an Alfa Guila QF.
But I'm ready to be patient as I've got a BMW 640 that's over its mileage allowance and typically in negative equity too, so I'm determined to get the right deal.
What are peoples experience on buying a used M4, my major concern is the high APR and there isn't much point paying similar for a used car versus a new car. However it would mean I could get an individual colour car....

I managed to get BMW down to 6.5 on a used car. I think 5.8 is a reasonable target for new. None of the 3% deals around at present I'm afraid. The lack of discounts is pretty evident and pushing me towards an Alfa Guila QF.

Thanks, that seems quite promising, there are quite a few decent individual CP cars on the AUC site at the moment. I'm going to hold out and see if they do any deals with the LCI M4... if not used for me.Wills2 said:
So did they do a deal?
Well, kind of! We`re struggling with spec` at the minute as it seems impossible to actually confirm what comes with what!Trying to spec` a competition in Sakhir Orange with Full Individual black leather with Sakhir stitching (which has handily been removed from the new brochure, but can be special ordered). But no-one can confirm if the full individual leather includes the leather instrument binnacle or not (conflicting answers) and if it also comes with sakhir stitching if that`s specced with the rest of the interior!
Specced a bunch of other odds and sods also which we have finally managed to ascertain what includes what.
Their options really are a minefield, not helped by the fact that literally no-one knows what you will actually get if you order certain things!
Our dealer has been in contact with Munich/Stuttgart but timing isn`t the best with new reg`s yesterday.

Finally tied up the deal this evening.
Not allowed to reveal the exact deal but very happy. 6 months eta though due to some bespoke bits being done.
Roll on September!
Nice one, full black leather has never come with sakhir stitching as standard (but full leather always includes the dash) so that colour stitching would have always been a special order, sounds lovely though. Not allowed to reveal the exact deal but very happy. 6 months eta though due to some bespoke bits being done.

The complication comes from ordering the sakhir stitching which makes the interior "individual" although the full black merino leather isn't which probably confused the dealer.
Enjoy!

Congratulations and well done. Not allowed to reveal the exact deal but very happy. 6 months eta though due to some bespoke bits being done.

But do tell us what the deal is. You're effectively anonymous and you don't need to mention the dealers name.
So, she`s landed!
Excellent deal done by Dave Weston at Ocean BMW, Plymouth. Give him a shout if you`re looking for a deal on a new BMW.
In a sea of muppets who didn`t know what day of the week it was and couldn`t negotiate to save their lives, he was a breath of fresh air!
A cracking deal and properly looked after from day one. It took a 5.5 hour train journey and a slightly shorter length of time to drive home

Very nice, any shots of the Sakhir stitching against the black leather? I bet that looks great.
Will try and get some, it does look epic As does the steering wheel!
Unfortunately it was throwing down with rain when we collected her and really dark so interior pics haven`t come out well at all. Typically work ballistic and missus 9 months pregnant, so has been tucked away since we got back Sat evening
