M2 - Service Package + Other questions

I'm about to pick up my M2, and have been asked if I want the 5y service package at £999.

The salesman ahs suggested (rather improbably in my opinion) that it is going up to £8,000 this year, so I'm getting a bargain, but notwithstanding whether this is true, what do people think for the value at £1,000?

I do 2,500 - 3,000 miles a year, mostly on motorways, so am very light on servicing needs, but if it's what everyone does, and makes financial sense, then I may still get it.

Is there a 600 mile service, and how much is it?

I'm really not impressed with the salesman, he's been poor throughout. If I treated a customer like he has, I'd expect to be out of a job, and likely up on fraud charges.

It'll be fastidiously serviced; exactly in line with BMW's recommendations...

As above, it'll do 2,500 to 3,000 miles a year, so I don''t think that it'll make any sense for me. It's not likely that I'll need to do any more than the running-in service, and may well only be keeping it six months.

I think the £8,000 must have been a typo, for the £800 / 3 years package.

Anyway, I'll not be taking it, it'll be six mints until the running in one, and I'll not likely own it eighteen months later.
