The M3 Touring - price in 2026/7?
Discussion
Regrettably i have to admit i will buy one. my current fleet includes a 997.1 gt3 cs, an alpina b3s coupe (e46) and an alpina b 3.3 touring (e46).
the gt3 and coupe are going nowhere and in 2026/7 i was planning to buy a used alpina b3 touring - the successor to my current touring.
however, ive never had an M car largely because its not been available in touring format. with that now solved, id like to know what people that know depreciation better than i do think the m3 touring will cost privately in 2027.
id want it fully specced with ultimate pack and ceramics.
it would form part of the daily fleet alongside the coupe but be used for family, rugby, dog and tip run duties

so i had a good spin in one this weekend courtesy of bmw in swindon as i seriously weigh up the m3t vs b3 touring
it didnt overwhelm me buts it capable and i actually like how it looks. didnt have the ceramics nor buckets which i would want ideally
ill be in the b3 touring on 10 feb so should have a good sense of the pros / cons of each and happy to share my thoughts here if anyone is interested or is also considering which way to turn
given what has happened to prices since i first posted, i think these are likely to become cheaper much quicker than i thought. not sure the curve is as steep for the b3 but lets see

They reckon its worth just over £70K on a trade valuation now. Which feels about right.
Of interest though, heres their projected trade values....
They seem to be suggested a trade value then of sub £40K by 2026, dropping to around £34K by 2027.
Adding on a strong dealer margin still suggests a sub £50K retail price by 2026 and an early £40s retail price by 2027.
