As the title suggests, when I break there is a small squeak coming from just behind the driver's seat, which I assume the rear right brake.

I've only owned the car for a few days so I'm not hugely knowledgeable about it yet, although I would assume this indicates I need to get my rear brakepads changed, although it is quite a subtle squeak, not a loud squeal like you often hear from cars or bikes that clearly need new breakpads.

What would you suggest?

After a little bit more evaluation, I'm pretty convinced that it is the rear right hand brake squeeking.

Is there a way of temporarily elliminating or reducing the squeeking? I intend on installing some 1.8 brakes in a month or so and don't want to completely replace the brakepads until then (they work well currently, it's just the noise).
