Hi, was in the market for an MX5 and just wondered what you guys do as far as insurance is concerned on a second vehicle?
MX5 will be purely for weekend fun and the odd summer night drive with the Mrs.
Has anyone used Admiral multi car ins as they seem to be coming out best for price at the mo. ?
I have 16yrs no claims but the discount can only be used on one car and the 2nd has to be taken without the discount ..............or am I missing something ?
Seems expensive for a few thousand miles a year that's all ?

Just an update, went with Admiral in the end, £562 quoted on line, when I rang to confirm increased to £752 !
Turns out only the main named driver is covered for personal loss, ie if my partner was driving she wouldn't be covered for anything ie loss of a limb or blinded in the event of an own fault accident !
.......be careful out there guys and check your policies as she said it's only explained in the small print on line!!
Oh and I went on a speed awareness course last year for doing 34mph in a 30 limit no points etc .........they upped the premium by £96 !
