Still looking for the right car at the right trice but can anyone tell me the difference between and icon and a sport?
Also how important is it to have a Mazda FSH or is it ok to trust a local non Mazda garage that has carried out the full service schedule?

Here's a good one for you http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...driving I hear owner cleans it with cotton buds!getmecoat

Also sports have optional AC & Bose...so check that one when looking at a sport.. Sport only way to go, LSD diff makes all the DIFFerence tumbleweed
That does look nice and I was in Wales last week but it's a long way from where I am. Interesting to know that the Sport has an LSD. I had one on the Caterham I sold recently. Does make life more fun.

The 7 got pretty hot as the exhaust was on the drivers side. Tbh I'm looking to spend around £7k for a sub 40k mile example. There are a few about from time to time and I hope to stick the BBR 200 kit on it.

Watch for the rot on subframes and suspension, I looked at many and lack of service is a issue. Odd thing is that the oil pressure gauge on all is actually a vacuum gauge ( dummy). Prone to engine issues due to low oil level because of the above, especially if run up to standard service intervals and left unchecked.
Can it be replaced with a proper oil gauge? I think I'm right in saying the engine is basically a Duratec and when installed in 7s they have oil gauges.

You mention rust on suspension and sub frames is this an issue on Mk3s or MX5s in general?

Thanks very much for your replies. Appreciated. I suspect I'll have some more before I finally get what I want.

9k for an 8 year old Mk3 soft top! Ay carumba, I think you'll be waiting a while regardless of mileage.
I'm a patient person. One will turn up........sometime maybe not just now.
