Just seen this.
1.
I have to say it looks utterly vile, layout is crappy and it doesn't look like the old site is migrating to the new one, so it means 2 sites to search for answers now... 
2. it seems to want your real name to log in - I did what it said (assuming it wanted it for registration purposes, and now that's my login
)
3. why? What was broken with the old one!?
