I'm a serving Soldier posted in Germany after a short stint of 18 mths in the uk. Back in 2010 I imported via the US PX a 5.7 Hemi RAM 1500, I loved the car but listened far too much to idiots saying that my fuel costs..... BLAH BLAH clearly they've never driven a V8!

I'm back in Ger currently I have a 63' SMAX that I need for my tribe, but I want a second car as the Frau can now drive. For years I wanted a Mustang but thinking of seats etc the Challenger has more of em, my eldest doesn't come everywhere with us and will leave for uni in 18mths.

I can't afford a V8 of either as I still need the 7str so no doubt will down scale to the Zafira.

My question or should I say I'm interested to hear is which one would you guys recommend, the V6 Stang Premium comes in at around £15,000 brand new shipped and converted and the Challenger V6 around £17,000 new tax free.

I use www.encs.com to build my car, I may go for a stock version on a stang as they no doubt be coming down in price due to the 15 version of which I don't like as much btw.

I appreciate your views and opinions and apologize for letting on how much I can pick one up for.

2 Things are making me think go with a Challenger firstly is the 3rd seat in the back I have 4 kids my eldest is 16 almost 17 and will be at uni in 18mths, the next eldest can't be trusted not to stay at home on his own.

And I'm thinking that the 2015 Euro Mustang may drive down the resale value of a LHD 2014 Mustang?

Apart from that of course I too believe the Ford is slightly better and of course the 0-60 performance is a no brainer IMO.

You see the thing is I can get a NEW 64 plate V6 Mustang or V6 Challenger for £15,000 (both V8's come in at around £22,000) thats converted to EU spec not UK, all I have to do is to SVA or IVA when I return.

Also a further question I was wondering what people opinions were with regards to whether I should just get the "V6 Performance Package" for $1995 or pay $395 for the 3.31 ltd slip?

The seats isn't a deciding factor tbh, its just a factor, if the Mustang had 3 seats in the back then I'd be sold on it 100%.

I'm just starting to think that when the 2015 Mustang comes out the arse will fall out of the residual value of it. Hopefully I'm going to the American PX to have a look at both.
