Torque Thrust D''s supplier
Discussion
Hi all... I haven't ventured in here before being more active on Biker Banter and the classic car forums on ph.
I have recently purchased a 55 chevy bel-air (pre-brexit so exchange rates were better) and it's with me now.
I am looking to buy some torque Thrust wheels or some halibrands in 17 or 18"s. Can anyone recommend a us supplier they have used?
I did call northhants tyres but they simply order the wheels in... so I was thinking why not buy direct and cut out the middleman.
Any leads let me know?

Hi James,
Well I looked up the style of wheels I wanted from the American Racing site and called you guys. The lady I spoke to said you didn't have the ones I wanted in stock 17" x 7 front and 8 (4.5bs) at the back and would have to order them.
Also if I made a mistake (in the measurement) the wheels couldn't be returned.
I would really love to just buy a complete set of wheels and tyres from you in one hit if possible. That would suit me best.
I call you tomorrow when I have looked up the model number.

Thanks for the informative post. I am sure it will help others. Also no need to apologise...
I called and spoke to BJ? He priced up a set of wheels for me but the tyres he managed to get were Runway, which frankly wont do as I do want some quality rubber on my car.
I didn't know you had other brands in stock such a Rocket. Food for thought.
What I have decided to do is carry out my disc brake conversion and also lower my car slightly and then book it in for wheel fitting. This will mean I can be sure the wheels will fit and also choose some better quality rubber, although the car will only be cruising at 70mph as its really not geared that high.
