Morning all, hope last night wasn't too bad! Close one.

Looking at a Dodge Ram this weekend and from the pictures it appears that, having been fitted with 35" tyres they protrude out of the arches a tad (see below picture). I understand when viewed from the top you shouldnt be able to see any tread - should I buy this thing I would imagine I'd need to get some arch extenders.

Few questions before I go back to animal husbandry:

Anyone running a truck with such a protrusion, any problems with plod?
Anyone know best place in the UK to get the arch extensions?

Cheers all

I agree Frank.

Sadly I dont know until I go see it and have a drive. Happy to buy it and get it home, just dont fancy three points for each tyre if I encounter a civil servant bitter about his missed invite to the ball.

From the picture can you judge?

Thanks Charlotte, was imagining it would be something like that. Current owner who is a decent chap is saying that he has never had an issue but then I suppose he would say that as he is selling the truck.

I'll have a look, buy it if ok, then order some arch extensions asap, keep the reciept and plead ignorance.

Flawless plan.

Done a bit more research on the old parchment.

Apparently the law is concerned with the wing being able to "where practicable" catch detritus thrown up b the wheels.

After your experiences, soldiers, best to counter this with some arches?
