Ford F250/F350 - or go for F150?

I'm looking for something "different" to doa bit of posing and some add some utility to the fleet.

Fancying a pick-up and have a mate who can get very good deals on anything Ford. I like the look of the new "SuperDuty" Ford;s - especially once they've had a few odds and ends on them (like a lift and some decent off road toys)

I've been considering a Ford F250 or F350 - the "Harley Davidson" versions (comes with all the "toys" as standard) - with either the V10 petrol engine or the V8 "Powerstroke Diesel" (660lb ft at 2000 RPM!) - in a "Crew Cab" body and a shorter bed length.

Couple of questions for those in the know! :-

1) whats the difference between the 250 and 350 - is it just the payload (i.e the 350 has heavier rated axles?) or are there other fundamental differences? (pricing seems very similar)

2) Anyone have any experience of the v8 Powerstroke Diesel? is it a pig and would I be better off with the V10 petrol (more or less same power but a lot less Torque)

3) I assume UK registration may present "challenges" - but theres always a way!

4) Am I mad and should I just get the newly announced 09 F150 harley Davidson Crew Cab with the V8 petrol??
