Looking to get myself an AP royal oak off shore, maybe a year or two old, leather or rubber strap, in the price range £10-15k.

Does anyone know if these will drop much in price after the first few years of depreciation or if they level out after this hit? Any chance of the prices rising in the future at any point? And of so any particular models to look out for? Looking for something in between a keeper and an investment piece. Any advice appreciated. Thanks guys.

OK I so I guess that I should just go for it really. Oh and work harder and pretend 10-15k is a few quid.

Thanks for the ongoing advise guys. Been looking around and quite like the Alinghi Polaris special edition, anyone got any thoughts on this model? Cheers

Noted on all your comments. It was the limited edition bit that got me thinking, on reflection it wouldn't be for me anyway. Especially given the negative reaction to the image it might portray.

Well having thought about it I realised I would never sell whatever I got so the depreciation part went out of the window. After viewing quite a few I went with this one:
AP Safari

Lovely watch and proper quality item (feels much higher quality than the Rolexes), got it for what seems a very good price so am pretty happy.

My other watches:
Rolex Yacht-master

Vintage Air King:

Sorry about the rubbish photos only had the I-phone to hand.
