Hi guys,

I have only recently started to appreciate a nice watch so im fairly new to this (although i know its all personal choice at the end of the day).

I am being bought a watch for my Birthday in a few weeks and have a few different options, i am able to get all of them for £500~ so i thought i would gauge opinions on these three watches.

Any other recommendations would be welcomed, it will be an everyday watch so needs to be relatively subtle and reliable.

Thank you for the responses guys.

I have decided against the Tissot as it is probably too big for my wrists and i already own a Tissot PRC.

I am also considering the CW in other colours like black, navy or charcoal. What are peoples experiences with quality etc as although i can get a feel for the Hamilton in a store the CW is online only.

Thanks.

That picture of the CW watch on your wrist in that colour has swayed me slightly!

Basically my requirements are:

bracelet strap
automatic movement
fairly robust
suitable for most attire

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I quite like the suggestions but will probably stick to the christopher ward (in a darker colour) or hamilton.
I'm guessing from the comments neither will disappoint.

Just a quick update to give this thread some closure, I have bit the bullet and gone for a Longines Hydroconquest automatic (Blue bezel and face).

I ended up buying it from an independent jewellers and got some discount so i was happy to pay a little above the Web price due to the service etc.

Overall i am very pleased with my purchase and it puts a smile on my face.
