Well, this is a new section to me & i already feel a little out of place.

At the grand old age of 26 i thought it about time to buy my first watch. I've never worn one or any jewellery for any prolonged period so it's a bit of a new experience.

I started with a budget of around £140-150 thinking i would get something nice but in typical PH fashion i suffered some budget creep and i opted for this lovely bit of kit:

It's beautiful, it automatically syncs it's time every night and generally removed a lot of the niggles that have probably put my off watches in the past. Changing the battery, adjusting the time, adjusting the date etc etc.

The only thing i'm finding a little frustrating is the glow in the dark paint seems to only last a matter of minutes before it's too dim to see which is a shame.

Anyway, hello from a watch n00bie and after how impressed i am with this one i think i'll be starting a collection! smile

Quit now whilst you can. It's cheaper. Haha. Welcome aboard.

How do the days change on the right hand side? Is the blue one the day in the pic?
laugh

That would be neat, but alas it's simply the small hand points to the day of the week.

I meant to add the budget creep was from £150 up to £399, Ooops!

Well, that didn't take long to escalate!

Less than 2 years from picking up the Citizen I've just bought myself a Rolex, tried a few on at the shop but it came down to this or a TAG for me.

I assume I'll now be spending my time telling everyone it's a fake biggrin

It's an M116000-0008, but I'd also welcome more info as I can't find out too much about it.

Just been looking round, and there are quite a few about on Chrono24, though they seem to be commonly referred to as the "Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 116000-BKOCDO 36mm" in those specific colours.

No sure if I like it or not, would like to see one in the flesh before committing, but hope you enjoy it which is all that matters really. smile
Must admit, I wasn't keen on it from the pictures either. I was going to order an Airking until I went into Goldsmiths and tried this one on.

Thanks for that ref smile
