Hi,
my son's Lorus has died so I thought I'd buy him a new watch. Can anyone recommend something, preferably waterproof, tough and mechanical (as opposed to quartz)? I don't want to spend more than £50, as he'll probably lose it anyway!
And 'no', I'm not getting a PP for him, because some smug guy in the ad has one!
cheers
Andy

I had one when I was about 7!
You're right, probably unnecessary since we have clocks at home and he has them at school, although he does like to monitor the Ipad as he and his sister share one and they have a set time limit every day to play on it.

thank you for all of your suggestions. I like the Seiko idea, but I'll show him some pictures of them over the weekend. Being 10, he'll probably be tempted with the digital 'G' watches, since they have lots of buttons and functions etc. I'd be more inclined to go with the Seiko because of the clear case back!
Thanks once again

I bought him this Seiko 5 in blue and also have him my watchwinder as my wife bought be a 4 watch winder. It's kept perfect time and looks great but he has to wear a sweatband to pad out his wrist!
