As the title states. I`m sick of seeing cheap, rubbish replicas being auctioned on Ebay masquerading as the genuine item by chancing wkers.
What makes it worse is people bidding 4 figures on these hideous pieces of garish junk. The usual "No box or papers" or "Unfortunately lost all documents" should stick out like huge red flag but don`t.
Some of the more mendacious sellers have the incorrect , previously bought off ebay box, with a mish mash of documents that don`t even correspond to the watch for sale.
It`s starting to irritate me now, where as before I always thought the caveat emptor onus was on the bidder. Not only because people are getting stung but because Ebay literally condone it although they say they don`t. I`ve reported umpteen auctions and very few get pulled.

Apologies for what may seem a negative thread but mentioning it on here has some worth as some of you guys know the score.

I have actually done that and it ended in an unpaid payment strike. Means if I want to buy anything genuinely seller can block my bids if I get another.
I have actually saw watch dealers selling counterfeit items. Some replicas are easy to spot, others less so. Especially if there`s a few less than perfect pictures.
Really, if you`re looking to buy a four or five figure watch then ebay isn`t the place.

Total bellend of a comment, especially the `ticking off` exclamation mark on the end. Of course if you know it isn`t a problem.

I`ve bought and sold watches on ebay too but you`ve obviously missed what I was saying. Infact, why do I bother? The usual pistonheads dispute has started.

I`m out.
