I'm looking to expand my modest collection of two and I was originally looking at individual watches in or around the 1-2k price bracket, but I'm quite keen to see how far I can stretch a £1000 budget to include two nice quality pieces to be bought together.

I'm mostly keen on diver watches and my Seiko Monster practically lives on my wrist but I'd be open to most suggestions. My only stipulation is that I need to avoid smaller, delicate looking watches as they tend to look lost on my wrist.

They can come in at whatever price ratio you can think of, but the total for the pair should be around the £1000 mark.

Lets see what you can come up with.

I've actually tried on a Hydroconquest and discounted it because it looked too slim in side profile for me. A lovely watch but not for me, although I had expected recommendations for it.

That Autodromo Prototipo is really quite nice. I'll do some research into that.

I'm not keen on the PRC200 but thank you for the suggestion. I'm familiar with Christopher Ward from a distance - I'll look into them a bit further.

I'd be happy to look a decent used options. What would you suggest?
