I could use some PH watch expertise. The jeweller near our Italian hotel has a 1982 Datejust with blue face, white gold surround and what look like original box and papers in very good condition for €2400, which is £1800 at today's exchange rate.
I'm no expert, but I've always liked blue faces and the chunky lines of Rolexes of that era.
Am I right in thinking that this is a good price?

If it all checks out (bracelet not to stretched etc) that sounds like quite a good price for a dealer (to me at least).
Showing my cluelessness: how does a steel bracelet stretch?

Thanks all for your advice. I'll put up a better photo when I get back.

Thanks again all. The bracelet is new, so I bought the watch.
