Rolex purchase - discount or not ?

Im looking at a new datejust for the wifes 30th, When I bought my deepsea I was told there was absolutely no discount available on rolex now, Although Ive heard different. Should I shop around on day of purchase or just go to first place that has it ?
Id prefer to buy from one of the dealers around my way, something about buying online just doesn't seem right unless anyone can vouch differently ?

Just catching up with this ....Ladies Datejust Bimetal 26mm fluted bezel, diamond dial -- Retail £7100..Purchase price £6400. Result. Rolex AD.
Im picking up soon, but still undecided on the champagne face or sunburst? They assure me sunburst is new and trying to push that on me but I just can't make my mind up. Any thoughts on sunburst? (has stripes whole way round)

Nice....I was completely torn on whether to get the sunburst dial or not....In the end I did...I don't have it to hand as its hidden away from the wife, but this was the alternative. Got this exact watch with sunburst dial...
