Currently researching a 40th birthday present for myself for later in the year and I am currently draw towards a couple of Tudor's.

I know nothing about them though. Style offer substance or decent make?

Thanks guys. Sounds promising.

Martin, thanks for the offer, but I wouldn't be looking to purchase for at least a couple of months, just started to look around and get some ideas before trying some on.

Wise words. I always try on watches before I buy as they are such a personal thing.

Sure, I'll pop a couple on over lunch.

Maybe best if I post in 'incoming' as I don't want to hijack this Tudor based thread.

Just as an aside; I sent photos to a range of friends (some who are interested in watches, some not) with a 'guess how much?' comment. Lowest guess has been £500. Mate at weekend (he has Tag, Oris etc) tried it on and guessed £900.

I just do not understand how they have made something like this for what I paid; $180.
I was going to say post away, it might spark some other thoughts.

But then I realised reading the incoming thread would be a much simipler way of acheiving the same thing!

hehe

Lots and lots of browsing of the internet, the incoming thread on here, and I can't seem to stop thinking about this at the minute:

We are going to York next weekend, there is an AD there I intend to have a browse around to see if they have one, and what else they have.

OP the AD in York is not the greatest in my experience.

If you have the time, you'd be be better off going into Leeds.
That's a shame, but not the end of the world. I am only window shopping at the moment. There is an AD in my local city who I have used before for other reasons and they are very good. We are also only an hour from London by train, which is always useful.

No problem at all. Hope you have a great time in my City! (p.s. If you're eating out you'd best to think about booking, its the last weekend of the Viking festival!)
Thanks . We've been once before, love it. Hoping to pop into Plonkers for a few!

Popped into the AD in York today and tried on the Fastrider chronograph. It didn't blow me away, now was that because it wasn't in the colours I wanted or a more fundamental problem with it. Hmmm, more thinking required.
