Hi All,

I have a Tag Carrera watch which is my office office. The SS strap is too uncomfortable and heavy. Looking to get a Breitling with a leather strap as an everyday watch. I am hoping to pass it down to my son when he's older.

I have a couple of concerns.

1. It's not as special as a Rolex, hence the pass-me-down might not be that great. I hear Breitling dont particularly hold value.
2. The croc leather is suppose to limited in life. They cost £440 to replace, so I was quoted by a Breitling rep at Westfield Shopping centre.
3. The initial purchase price is £6k! Thats a huge amount of cash for something that doesnt hold value. Any ideas what I can discount these down to? Anyone know how much these can be haggled down?

Is he a dealer or an owner of this watch?

I like the watch. It looks great.

I am not a watch man so I know nothing about them to be honest. Just need some views on those in the know.

It is a lot of money however I dont mind if I know it's going to be great pass-me-down to my son. Dont want to spend 6k now and for it to worth 40% or less in a few years.

I am agreeing with a lot of the above sentiment. I think a more classic time-piece might be a better way to go so its the Rolex might be better.
