I have a Tissot PRS200 that's around 9 years old. It required a new battery, so I replaced it. However, it still refused to work. It also requires a repair of the ratchet on the bezel. I took it to a national chain repairers who quoted me over £300 - i.e. I may as well buy a new one for the same price. Is this a reasonable price for the work required?

A bit of Googling found a replacement movement for $60 plus delivery from the US. Roughly how much would a friendly local jeweller/watchmaker charge to swap it over?

I can live with the bezel for now - I just want it to tell the time again. I don't have the watch to hand at the moment so can't tell you any further details. I just need to find a watchmaker - anyone have any recommendations in the Nottingham/Derby/Sheffield triangle?

Apologies - I was intending for that to read as to whether there are any recommended watchmakers in the East Midlands who would source the movement and fit it.

I also sent you one following your last post. Maybe that went missing too?
