I'm not really a watch person but Mrs 2.5pi wants to buy me a watch for a birthday present, I've got a Breitling everyday watch but she's suggesting as a supplement a PANERAI LUMINOR 1950 CHRONO MONOPULSANTE 8 DAY GMT Titanium , I like it but I'm curious as to how more informed folk view it.

I'm in the "it looks v.nice but WTFDIK category" which makes me likely to make a rookie error.
