Selling a Rolex - Where? Price?

I have decided to sell my Submariner LV and am surprised to see how much ebay fees are for sales of this value. Have people had much luck selling watches through pistonheads? Would it be better to advertise on a specialist forum and if so are there any that allow new members to post items for sale?

Also any advice on where the price point is for a private sale? Looking at Blowers an equivalent watch is £5,750 so would £5k be a realistic price (with full papers, receipt and box)?

I will have a look at Chrono 24

I never thought to approach a local retailer who may take it on a sale or return basis. I have someone in mind so will see if that is an option.

Thanks. Will have a look there too. Noted on the price - maybe I should pitch it starting with a 4 in that case.
