Audemars Piguet Royal Oak vs Roles SS Daytona white face
Discussion
Been on the lookout for a Rolex SS Daytona white face (116520) for a little while and am able to quite easily locate one new from an AD at list price.
I've been offered a new AP Royal Oak (https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/watch-collection/royal-oak/26120ST.OO.1220ST.01) from an AD for £10k. (This one is also with a white face.) I'm aware this is now a discontinued model. (Happy to be corrected but this is what the salesman in the AP boutique advised when I asked if they have any in stock.)
The first question is, is the price for the AP Royal Oak Dual Time (white face): a rip off, fair, very good?
I'm buying the watch to wear daily and not thinking the purchase will be an investment. That said, should I want to sell at any point in the future, which would hold it's value better, long term and short term?
I'm not fussed about buying new. I'd be happy buying from respected second hand dealers if the price was right for either but wouldn't pay a premium (i.e. over list price) to own either one of these. I'd want one with B&P and as much paperwork as possible if buying second hand.
I've only got another 10-15 hours to decide if it's going to be the AP so would appreciate as many opinions as possible.
Thanks in advance.

Decided against the AP.
I do like the look of it but felt like I was buying it because it felt a good deal as opposed to a watch I wanted to wear every day.
I don't currently have a watch worth mentioning so again, the Daytona is probably a better option for daily use, plus a few £k cheaper.
Thanks all for your input.

The AP Royal is 39mm. The Daytona is 40mm. See http://www.rolex.com/watches/cosmograph-daytona/m1...
Personally, I quite like the weight of the Daytona. Some variants are flashy but in my opinion, the SS white face isn't flashy or blingy. Each to their own though.
