Recommend me a watch for the wife c£1.5k

My wife is having a pretty s
tty time at the moment and I have promised myself I'd buy her a decent watch for years but have never got around to it.
So I am going to bite the bullet and go for it.... I have about £1.5k to spend which is about ten times the cost of anything she has had before.
She really likes st/st brackets and a simple, round bezel with a pale (white?) face.
After some craft research, she seems to like the Omega Aqua Terra and the Tag Heuer Aqua Racer, both from Watchfinder.
Are these obvious choices?
Is there anything else I should consider?
Is there anywhere else I should be looking?
