Looking for a watch around the £1,500 mark for my wife.

She had her eye on a Tudor 'Clair de Rose' but this has proved to be extremely difficult to source.

She wants something slightly unusual, but fairly subtle (so small and not covered in diamonds)!

Any ideas?

Can you get a Cartier Pascha for £1,500?
Not a bad looking watch, but 38mm? My wife wants something more like 28mm!

There's a ladies version. Maybe it's the must de cartier...I forget.

Anyway my point is, there might be a nice Cartier for that budget.
Ok, I'll take a closer look, thanks!

Have you tried Parkhouse & Wyatt? They have one listed on their website, they usually only have things listed that they actually have to sell, not items that are maybe available if you get me.
Thanks for that - that's not the exact one that she wanted but would probably have been a close second. However, I was previously discussing this with a dealer who was hoping to obtain me a watch at RRP less 15% - that made it a £2.5k watch and we would have upped the budget accordingly. At closer to £3k it's much harder to justify and there must be something else out there much cheaper, that she will like as much - she came across the Tudor watches by accident rather than having selected them after extensive research!

Thanks for your input though!

I bought a Cartier Tank Solo for my wife for around that sort of budget. Cartier make many of their watches in 3 sizes so worth checking. The Omega Constellation is also available in a small size and with a mother of pearl dial which was also in contention. Dom Hackett is worth calling to get a competitive discount.
Thanks - I will look into the watches you mention.

I bought my IWC from Dom H and have been in discussions with him for the watch for my wife.

Thanks

Hey, just FYI Watchfinder have a Calaire de Rose for £1700 in unworn condition!
Missed this post and now too late - thanks anyway!

I've been looking into Longiness and these 3 seems to fit the bill - cheaper than I was expecting to have to pay too!

Any comments or reasons why I should clear of this brand? Note that resale value isn't important, but I'd like to be paying for a decent quality watch / movement rather than for a brand name - she's not someone that really cares too much about brands!

Cheers
