Hi all,

Looking to spend around £500 and would like to buy my first automatic watch.

I currently have 2 TW Steel watches, a 45mm canteen on a black leather strap and a 48mm pilot on a black leather strap with red stitching.

I also have a MVMT and a Sekonda but these don't get worn anymore.

I'd like an automatic watch as all of my current watches are Quartz.

I love the Submariner look and want a bracelet strap as my 2 mainly work watches at the moment are both leather strap.

I'm quite a big guy so a big face doesn't look stupid.

There's a couple of TW Steels that I like but I'd prefer something different.

I love the steinharts but I'd prefer to try something on rather than order online.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That's lovely!

I'm leaning towards this at the moment but I'd really rather try it on / buy it in person....

Ocean 44 is definitely at the top of my list at the moment. If I can order it and they'll take the return if I'm not 100% then that may work.

My only concern is the size of the face compared to the thickness of the bezel.

I'd go for the Ocean One but I feel anything less than 45mm will feel small due to my other watches. So the 44 is probably the smallest of want at the moment. I could do with trying on some 42/43mm's I guess.

Hi mate,

Yes I've totally ruled out another Quartz, I want a proper automatic.

I'm not interested in the titanium ocean. I like a bit of weight.

I know what you mean regarding the rehault. But everything I've read states it looks great in real life.

Thank you!

I'm very excited. I wanted a watch that I liked but also a brand that was respected. I appreciate homages aren't to everyone's taste however.

Don't be sorry! We all have slightly different tastes even though we have a common interest! Everything I've seen is lovely and I'm sure if of been happy with any of them but I'm very pleased with what I have chosen!

Finally got my email with the tracking details! The watch should be delivered on Tuesday but will be delivered to my home address and I'll be at work (put my home address as it stated 2-3 days delivery and I've been home this last week). Fingers crossed I can pick it up from somewhere on Wednesday unless they deliver it to a neighbour.

Whilst at Bluewater yesterday I saw a Deep Sea in the Watch Finders window, I'm even more excited for this to come now!!

Watched arrived today! Very very happy. I'll try to upload pics tomorrow.

I've already had links taken out and it's on the wrist!

Nice one!

I've been really enjoying my purchase. Unfortunately one of the bars in the strap snapped leaving the threaded part in the strap. It's now in the jewellers having that bit drilled out.
