A year of obsessing before getting my first Rolex today, a Sea Dweller 4000. Such a perfect timepiece to me simply stunning. Overjoyed with it and look forward to wearing it.

Few pics

Whilst I have some day to say stuff, Steinhart ocean black, Tag F1. I think the SD4000 nicely compliments nicely next to my Speedmaster 50th anniversary.

That's me and watches for a while but think the SD4000 is such a perfect bit of kit

Thanks gents, love my Speedmaster but the SD is just a thing of beauty. Sits on the wrist with perfection as far as I'm concerned. It really is my favourite timepiece really chuffed to have got one

Most definitely worn be getting moved on, spent a year looking at them and tried on twice before, can't understand how someone could spend that much on something asthetic and then decide they don't like it, not like buying a car that you suddenly hate driving.

No more watch browsing for me, that's my watch funds used up for the foreseeable and I've promised someone an eternity ring !

Before I knew much about the Rolex sports watches it was always a Submariner I'd think I wanted, basically following the trend having done no research.
Then I noticed the Sea Dweller in a shop and it struck me instantly, my perfect taste.

That looks very nice on that strap I like it

Thanks for all the positive feedback folks, only hard part now is its tucked away as its not supposed to make an appearance until the big red fat man with a white beard makes an appearance, I'm buckling on putting it on though and the wife has said I can wear it now so ......

I have a 16600 Sea Dweller and funnily enough the next watch on my list is a Speedmaster Pro/Reduced! Need to try them both on as anything over 40mm looks lost on baby wrists.
I love my Speedmaster was my first proper watch purchase, really love it and will never get rid. Chuffed that I get to choose between two great bits of kit now. I've been wearing my Speedmaster virtually non stop this last year ish as my daily wearer was my old Tag F1 but it's needed a battery for ages now and I've not got round to it but need to as it comes in handy for the more 'dirty' days when I wouldn't want to risk the other

Congratulations! Love mine and hardly had it off my wrist for 18 months ... a few battlescars but will scrub up like new smile
My Speedmaster will be coming up soon due a little polish and service. Might give it a little clean myself, just a gentle brush in soapy water order of the day for that isn't it ?!

Hardly anything to write home about really is it, the way you were taking and that 'most get sold on after 6 months' sounded like you were talking about the deep sea which is a beast.

Honestly not interested in a tit for tat it's absolutely nothing at all. My Speedmaster below currently on my wrist sticks out more than that and is domed and it's almost to the edge plus it has the outer ring below he glass and not marked or caught it in 5-6 years yet.

Nice pair. I may be biased, but I much prefer the speedmaster.

Absolutely that's the thing isn't it personal taste and what you prefer. I still love my speed master it's on my wrist all the time but will get a break now when I start wearing the SD

I can confirm mine made an appearance last night and felt superb to wear. That's it now it's going to get plenty of wear going forward!
