Hello all,

I've got a Breitling B2 (with a white dial if that makes a difference) which I've not worn once since getting an Android watch, and can't honestly imagine wearing again, so I figured I'd sell it and get a nice new camera lens instead.

The issue I've got, though, is that I dropped it at one point, and the chronometer second hand has come loose.

The watch still keeps perfect time, and the chrono function still works. It's just that the second hand is loose when the chrono mechanism is not in use.

I'm told it's a relatively simple thing to fix as part of a service, but there's no such thing as a cheap Breitling service, so I was wondering what people think would be the best option?

Should I pay for a service then look to sell it privately as fully serviced, or sell it to a dealer who would presumably service it anyway before selling it, and accept a lower price for it?

I've still got the original box, spare bracelet links etc as well.

You need to find out the cost of service and both valuations for services and in services and then make a call from there ... anything else is just opinion and rhetoric
That's easy enough on the "take it to a dealer" route, but I've no real way of estimating what it might sell for privately after being serviced, so that's the part I was seeking opinions on. smile

Use Chrono24.com as a rough valuation guide and price accordingly ... Which B2 is it?
It's like this one. Model number A42362 apparently.

I must admit, I don't follow Breitling prices, so I might be somewhat off-the-mark ... As such, someone else might be able to confirm: I'd say repair at an independent and list at £1800?
I finally got round to getting it repaired and serviced, so now we can watch the ad and see if you're accurate with that £1,800! biggrin
