Flippin heck... with cranes that go up and down! Why didn’t they have such a great feature on the watch that had two people shagging on the dial.

I’m going to say it’s the square legs on the rig that put me off, rather than the third of a million swiss francs they’re asking for it.

Going after your market Lorne?
Although I rather suspect that is more aimed at oil co. board members than at the rig workers themselves.
ha, ha! The Offshore Professional is aimed at Oil Co Board members and rig workers! If I did put a rig on the dial I'd make damn sure it was designed properly though; round legs without big holes, drilling derrick and cranes away from the helicopter landing pad and accommodation somewhere other than above the process plant. Who wants to be reminded of the heap of junk they work on though everytime they look at the time?

Um, minor point just in case you decide to make one.

All the jack-ups I worked on had triangular legs.
Indeed, and some semi-subs have rectangular legs, but I think UN are trying to portray a typical north sea production platform from the 'black gold' era. A jack-up would be good though - why have just the cranes going up and down when you can have the whole platform.
