Here’s a watch to kick it off, I paid 1 USD for this in 2010. Needs a new strap (thinking brown leather?? The dial is greyish).

Hard to photograph, but I’ve always liked it.

Happy Christmas all
Ooohhh that's pretty, yep a nice vintage leather strap would suit that!!

Glad you like the new digs chaps!!! smile

Ohhh, that’s nice. I like that. £1 you say? Interesting…..
$1… not sure how much that was in £ in 2010. Not a lot. I bought a timex at the same time, will get a picture. Both from a thrift store in Flagstaff, AZ.

The Waltham seems to be running fine.
Would like to see more of the Waltham when you get a strap on it!!

How long do you have to wait for the new van?
Peugeot and Citroen were both quoting 7 months for an automatic equipped, top specced Partner or Berlingo.

Vauxhall were quoting 3-4 months for an auto Combo, in a lower spec for £4100 more than Peugeot or Citroen.

In the end I went for a 130bhp, automatic, Citroen Berlingo Driver Pro XL.
Jesus, I didn't realise there was a wait for vans, just asked Mrs Bobbers about the vans her boss ordered this year, yep 4 month wait for manual high spec Transits too!!!

Just put a rally strap on my Sorna Bullhead, inspired by the orange example posted on the original thread. It transforms the watch, and I'm delighted

Love that!!

Confession time.

My son made me watch the John Wick movies before Christmas. To my surprise, I found them to be extremely good fun - so much so that I researched Keanu's watch (which he wears wrist-side to avoid damage in combat).

Seems it's a Carl Bucherer Manero which sells for around two grand, unless you get one from Wish for exactly 12 quid. I know. Like I told my lad when watching John Wick 3... Sometimes good people do bad things.

Is it a sweeper or ‘jumping seconds automatic’ that Wish are known for.
What do you think biggrin it makes more noise than a traction engine too...

Many thanks! I felt I had to contribute something operatic after Bobbers renamed the thread LOL
Like Tedmus, I only watched your scene but it’s mightily impressive. The set looked great, too!

Best wishes to all for the New Year

Is there room, (and interest), in here for lighters and cigarette cases ?

I don't mind a bit of budget creep, and enjoy the occasional operatic break, but I think I'd draw the line at expanding to start including other collections, sorry.

That looks a bit of a beast. I like it but wonder whether my 'athletic'/girly wrists are man enough to carry that off.
As Figaro says, that's a very decent spec for half thread.
Here's how mine looks on my barely 7" wrist:

Not too bad I think, and even better on a Nato strap:

That's a great looking watch, doesn't look too big on your wrist either!!

That's a great looking watch!!

My new Casio Ediface, two links out to make it fit, has some funky stuff like world time zones, a temperature readout and dual stopwatches!!
