Rolex hologram sticker on back of watch

I have a Rolex Submariner 16610 which i bought 6 years ago (2003 model)and it has the green Rolex hologram on the back. i have seen various used Rolex watches advertised over the years on places such as ebay(!) which do not have the hologram and i just wondered if people tend to remove the sticker or if this is a sign the watches are probably fake? I would prefer to have the watch with no hologram on the back but i always figured that trying to take it off may leave a residue of glue as it is very well stuck on - and has shown no signs of coming off despite being worn every day since i got it.

Just one of those little things which I have wondered about for a few years, i probably need to get out more....

As the OP, I received an email to say a post had been received, nothing ever disappears off the internet! I still have the Rolex and it still has the hologram sticker on the back, worn smooth after all these years!

Hi, I am the original poster! I still have the watch and can report that the sticker eventually fell off, not sure exactly when as I just noticed it had gone one day. I estimate it took about 15 years and i wear it every day....!
