hi

righty ho after considering that old gmt, i've been researching my rolexs and have whittled it down to 2. The GMT master II 116710 LN or the Sea-Dweller 16600.

I like things to have interesting features and i'd say that they are even in terms of that for me. The GMT with its 3 time zones at once or the sea dweller with its ludicrous depth rating.

The GMT has on its side the new design clasp, very secure apparently and the ceramic dial which appeals because i'm an geeky engineer. My mate rocks around wearing one and i've always admired it.

The sea dweller is also a handsome watch and has on its side that its no longer made. hence sort of exclusive if you stretch the term?. also maybe a chance of it appreciating slightly/not losing as much as the gmt?

opinions please

large you say? hmm, my good friend has a GMT so i've had a good old look and wear of that but other then pictures I havent managed to see one in the flesh.

I'm off work tomorrow so i'll pop into town and see if anyone has one in, though I suspect that'll be unlikely. Failing that i'm in london this weekend so may be able to find one there to look at

It is a tricky one, mostly been sat in the pub with my mate wearing his gmt II. It is very nice. One a quest to try and find a sea dweller to compare it to tomorrow ands then decision will be made by monday

I forgot to mention stiglet is yours the two tone pepsi GMT? how do you get on with it, is it a bit in your face over say the black sea dweller? does it wear well with a suit?

Do you purely go on aesthetics or bring in depreciation or exclusivity due to discontinued into it? I'll try tomorrow to get my hands on a sea dweller tomorrow. If I cant find the 16600 can anyone say how the 116660 compares in size to it, as obviously pictures tell you what it looks like just not the size so well

My only worry was that it may be a little small, as its a tiny bit smaller then the gmt II and that doesnt look big on me. I have distinctly average wrists but large forearms and biceps due to a penchant for body building.

But then I pondered that I was wearing a casio A168, which is amazingly retro cool but by no means large in any sense of the word big and it looked ok, so I went for it

watch came today, needless to say i was a tad excited opening the box and looking through all the bits and bobs, the watch is gorgeous and immaculate smile cant post a picture yet as i dont have my micro sd/sd card converter at work

cant recomend dom enough, he cam eup with great price, but far more hten that his communication is excellent I had complete confindence in ordering from him. I'll be using him again when i get a speedmaster thumbup
