I'm looking for a watch that's tough!

It's going to be worn in the sea for diving (50m max) surfing, kayaking and generally taking a few knocks.

Budget up to £500 but happy to pay less smile

Would prefer an all black watch as the nasty fishes here like to bite shiny things yikes

What do you recommend?

These are £399. Link

Or £279 for a nearly new/ex photo demo http://www.christopherward.co.uk/nearly-new/nn-men... I do like the styling of this watch even if it would be pish as a proper divers watch as it purports to be.
Really like that.

Was hoping to get something interesting receommended and this looks spot on.

I'm not sure how the black dial numbers would work out in less than clear water, could be an issue on a divers watch but nothing a bit of additional lume work wouldn't sort out. Does seem to have a lot of spec for the price.

Anyone got any other comments on them?

Thanks for the Military watch suggestions, they are probably very rugged but I'm not really into their styling.

Done sold, I'll have one of those! $490 with a slightly cheaper movement too. smile
Has to be one of the clearest to read dials I've seen and really like the bracelet.

Those black watches look great but... hard as nails? I challenge you to let me wear yours while I go rock climbing. Let's see how pretty they look after I've displayed total disregard for the clothing and equipment I'm wearing for 6 hours.
Yeah guess in that respect the g-shocks are great, mine's been all round the world over the last 15 years and is still going strong.

I love the Boschett but also REALLY like that Helson.

Haven’t got one sorted yet as recently spotted the new IWC Aquatimer

and then the new Tag Aquaracer.

Both a lot more cash but having tried them on they are bloomin luverly. The IWC is twice the price of the Tag and feels it but the Tag’s rubber dial seems a good idea. Not sure I’d be entirely comfortable bashing about the IWC.
