Anyone live in Welwyn Garden city? House advice

I live in Ware so I know WGC from shopping etc. but not much else. We're viewing a house there on Saturday and I was wondering if any WGC locals can tell me anything about the area. It's the house below.

That's not the best bit of Welwyn and the nearest secondary school, Sir Frederick Osborne does not have a good reputation. It's not the West Side and that part of WGC is not as desirable as where we are. If he wants to move here tell him to look out for houses near Monks Walks school, Knightsfield area or Stanborough area.

We have no kids however she talks of marriage and babies so I foresee that soon.

Viewed it today. Didn't feel right.

Saw a couple of nice houses in Hitchin that we liked though.
