Its stunningly detailed, internal wires, screws, rivets, carbon like missile top, lights, antenna, stamped numberd inside, itd like a big ray gun!!

Its very tactile the brass against the alloy is ace.....is the best most pointless thing I ever bought ....:-).Got it at Ardingly antiques day. its very well made but the seller said Russian poss 70s. I cant find anything on the web!.

Any idea?

Thanks again guys. I am not a model builder but thought it would look good if it had clearly the piece I have on it. A small kit I will build. ..first time in 40 years I would guess ha.

On a stand next to it would be great. Ill look on ebay and amazon but any other place thats a good deal will be helpful.

Its the housing and antenna for a sirena 2 passive radar warning receiver on a Mig 21. The three rods sticking up in front of it are IFF antennas.

The colour scheme comes from many Mig 21s.

I think on later models this became the transponder fairing and the metal probe sticking out is a static wick.

Reluctant to do anything but you think they could have stamped or dated parts? Was that normal?
