A rare sight in this part of the world, 2 Super Pumas heading west at about 1730. I'd love to live somewhere that had a lot more military overflights smile

Got some friends in Southwater who quite regularly get military traffic.

Last time I saw a Chinook in the area was just south of Billingshurst a few winters ago, it was dark but I managed to spot an even darker area of the sky just before it passed overhead my car biggrin

I believe the Super Puma is only used by civilian companies, if they were in camoflage/drab green then they are just Pumas but may be the latest upgraded version. Sorry for being a pedant.
My mistake, I thought a Puma with the extended air intakes was a Super Puma but I guess they are fitted on military helicopters as well. Must improve my aircraft recognition skills smile

I think they just flew over my place in Crawley.
They did come from that direction.
